Mindfulness is already within you – and it can be cultivated through meditation at Mindfultime. Mindfulness meditation is a way to increase awareness. It is a way of intentionally paying attention to the present moment. Through mindfulness meditation you will learn to relate directly to whatever is happening in your life and connect more fully with your own inner experiences.

What is mindfulness meditation?

Understanding mindfulness meditation requires understanding mindfulness.  Mindfulness is a way of learning to relate directly to whatever is happening in our lives, of taking charge of our lives, of doing something beneficial for ourselves that no one else can do for us.  Fortunately, mindfulness is not something that we have to acquire — it is already within us, ready and waiting to be used to learn, grow and heal. Mindfulness meditation is a way to cultivate mindfulness.

Through mindfulness meditation, we learn to focus our attention and become fully aware and awake, yet relaxed, during as many life moments as possible.  The formal practice of meditation involves staying still, or moving slowly, and training the mind and body in special ways.  Mindfulness meditation teaches us to be richly connected to everything in life, rather than tuning out.
